"...you are all called to save and share in a very special way. The way of sorrows...is a path kept sacred and secret for [His] nearest and dearest, those whose one desire is to do all for [Him], to sacrifice all for [Him], to count, as [His] servant Paul did, 'all things but loss so that they may gain [Jesus].' But, dreary as that Path must look to those who view it only from afar, it has tender lights and restful shades that no other walk in life can give." -author unknown

"Oh I could write the saddest song, Of how the world did us wrong, And all your lips would sing along, To how we've come to suffer long.
And I could compose the darkest rhyme To be the anthem of our time, But the truth is what you'll never find, In hearing these dark words of mine.
Oh I could write of the deepest pain, From times of joy I would refrain, To sing of drowning in the rain, With no one there to speak your name.
OR I could sing the truest line, Of how His love stopped all time, The hope you seek; you could find, No longer would your eyes be blind.
And I could write the sweetest name, Of how it washes the deepest shame, And all of you could leave your pain, If I spoke of Jesus' reign.
But we try so hard to belong, And in our pain we sing along, HIDING OUR HOPE IS THE GREATEST WRONG, And so, this is the saddest song.
This is what we have meant to say; JESUS CHRIST, HE HAS MADE THE WAY, With strength to push through today, And from our pain we'll fly away.
And this is the hope for which we strive; Because JESUS LIVES, we will not die, For by His love we will survive, REMAINING SILENT IS TO SPEAK A LIE."

There's a dream that burns inside me, it's a sound I know You heard, My soul bleeds another desperate wish with every spoken word. My heart sleeps safely as it soars upon the wind, A line of time, a book of dreams, with no apparent end. Each plain could be another life that I could one day live, Each mountain a new adventure Your Spirit would gladly give. I can't sit still--no--not now that I AM FREE, The mountains they are calling as Your voice cries out to me. I still remember the moment that I grew these golden wings, Each day is proof enough that Your Spirit always sings. Your melody lives within me, It's the soundtrack of Your grace, And each time my spirit flys, I look upon Your face. Don't keep me here in this place where life always seems to sleep, TAKE ME WHERE THE CLOUDS FLOAT HIGH AND THE WATER RUNS DOWN DEEP.

"Very truly I tell you, all who have faith in me [Jesus] will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." (John 14:12) "...I began to discover 'the greater things.' It was not just the miracles. I started to see that the miracles were an expression not so much of Jesus' mighty power as of His love. In fact, the power of miraculous spectacle was the temptation He faced in the desert--to turn stones to bread or to fling Himself from the temple. But what had lasting significance were not the miracles themselves but Jesus' love. Jesus raised his friend Lazarus from the dead, and a few years later, Lazarus died again. Jesus healed the sick, but they eventually caught some other disease. He fed the thousands, and the next day they were hungry again. But we remember His love. It wasn't that Jesus healed a leper but that He touched a leper, because no one touched lepers. And the incredible thing about that love is that it now lives inside of us. In the verses just after the one about the greater things, Jesus assures us that the Spirit now lives in us. Jesus says that He is going to the Father but will also remain remain inside of us, and we in Him. We are the body of Christ, the hands and feet of Jesus to the world. Christ is living inside of you and me, walking the earth. We shall do even greater things because the love that lived in the radical Christ now lives within millions of ordinary radicals all over the planet." - Shane Claiborne, from "The Irresistable Revolution"

"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in my unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am the foremost of all....Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." -1 Timothy 1:12-15,17

"I'll watch myself settle down Into a place where Peace can search me out and find That I'm SO READY to be found
Any control I thought I had just slips right through my hands While my ever-present conscience shakes its head and reprimands me Reprimands me Then and there I confess I'll blame all this on my SELFISHNESS {God} You love me And that CONSUMES me And I'll stand up again And do so willingly....

...You give me HOPE, and hope it gives me LIFE You touch my heavy heart, and when you do you make it light As I exhale I hear your voice And I answer you, though I hardly make a noise And from my lips the words I choose to say Seem pathetic, but it's a FALLEN MAN'S PRAISE Because I love you OH GOD, I love you And life is now worth living if ONLY because of you And when they say that I am dead and gone It won't be further from the truth
When I go down I lift my eyes to you I won't look very far Cause you'll be there With open arms To lift me up again To LIFT ME UP AGAIN" -R.K.

"To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable:"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'GOD,HAVE MERCY ON ME,A SINNER.' "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 18:9-14

I thought I had my future plans pretty much set and figured out. I think God set me out on that path for a reason. The reason is that so when He would ask me to turn I would know which way to go. I thought I was moving far away, but now it seems im just moving kind of away. Different things are starting to seem right. I'm seeing certain people in a whole new light. and it's a good thing. I never knew I would ever see so much beauty and strength in people. I am so proud of the people the friends I love are becomming. I'm happy to see who I will hopefully become as well. I know God has brought me far, but I still have a long way to go. I'm excited about Wednesday. Yes it's true, my God has been good to me.

I Learned a few things about my future today. It's amazing how God reveals a little bit, and then you walk in faith, and then He reveals a little bit more, then you walk in faith, and then more...and on and on. I love it when seemingly abstract peices of life sometimes seem to suddenly fit together like a puzzle. Im beginning to see a VERY SMALL portion of what the picture of my life will look like. I love having direction. I feel the happiest when I sing. I feel the most alive when I walk with God. It's funny how when God rocks your world it takes you a while to stand up again. But then once you stand up it takes you a while to find your place again and get balanced. My prayer is that I begin to sink deeper into my foundation. I know that no matter where I am in life I am always safe if I am with Jesus. Im learning how to stand. . . . .
It is well with my soul.
